Chemical Fabrics and Film Association Inc. ( CFFA )

Profile: CFFA is an International Trade Association for manufacturers of polymer- based fabric and film products. It aims at promoting education about the uses and benefits of chemical fabrics and film, product standardization and research. The members of the Association are divided into three categories: automotive/ transportation, decorative products and industrial products. It provides industry statistics and trends to its members.

Brazilian-American Fashion Association ( BRAMFSA )

Profile: The Brazilian-American Fashion Association is the clearinghouse for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers for fashion apparel, footwear and accessories including Brazilian jeans, bikinis, lingerie and jewelry. The Association provides industry information, business Assistance, networking among its members and the members of partner associations. Its members include manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers for fashion apparel, footwear and accessories. It helps the members of the Association to attend networking events and publicize their products and new collections. Its publications include a monthly newsletter and an online magazine.

The Fashion District

Profile: The Fashion Center Business Improvement District, a not-for-profit corporation, was established in 1993 to promote New York City's apparel industry and to improve the quality of life and economic vitality of Manhattan's garment district. Through programs in the areas of streetscape improvements, sanitation and security services, marketing and promotions, economic development, and community service, efforts are aimed at promoting the district as a strategic midtown business location and ensuring New York's position as the fashion capital of the world.

American Cotton Shippers Association ( ACSA)

Profile: ACSA consists of merchants, primary buyers and mill service agents who are members of four Federated Associations, located throughout the cotton belt viz. Atlantic Cotton Association, Southern Cotton Association, Texas Cotton Association, and Western Cotton Shippers Association . Association's member firms handle over 80% of the U.S. cotton sold in domestic and foreign markets. ACSA works for promoting the increased use of cotton throughout the world; establishing with other cotton trade organizations national and international standards for trade; collaborating with producer organizations throughout the cotton belt in formulating farm programs; and cooperating with government agencies in the administration of such programs. All its members are given the opportunity to participate fully in the affairs of ACSA.

The Fiber Society

Profile: The Fiber Society is a nonprofit, professional and scientific association whose membership is open to chemists, physicists, and engineers with interests in the field of fiber science engineering and technology. The Society works for 'Advancement of scientific knowledge pertaining to fibers, fiber based products, and fibrous materials.' It sponsors two technical meetings each year, attendance at which is open to all participants interested in the field. The Society sponsors an award for Distinguished Achievement in Fiber Science for individuals under 40 years of age who have made significant contributions to the field. For recognizing outstanding contributions in the field, it sponsors the Founders Award, which is given regardless of age. It also awards Honorary Membership in recognition of life-long contributions to the field.

Plains Cotton Cooperative Association ( PCCA)

Profile: PCCA is one of the largest farmerowned cooperative based in Lubbock, Texas. Its activities include cotton marketing, warehousing and denim manufacturing. It owns a denim mill in Littlefield, Texas and cotton warehouse operations in Altus, Oklahoma, Liberal, Kansas and Sweetwater, Texas. PCCA is the world's largest producer and supplier of Texas-style cotton.

Textile Fibers and By-Products Association

Profile: The Textile Fibers and By-Products Association protects and promotes interests of dealers and processors engaged in the textile by-products business. It facilitates communication of its members with their clients and also among the members themselves. It also seeks to establish uniformity in customs, usage's and business principles of the textile by-products business. It also has an ongoing interest in research programs specifically designed to perpetuate the markets of textile fiber by-products in collaboration with the US Department of Agriculture's Research Division, the National Cotton Council, the National Cotton Batting Institute, and other related institutes.

International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO)

Profile: IWTO is an international body that represents the interesrs of the global wool- textile trade and industry. Its members consists of wool growers, traders, processors, spinners, weavers, garment manufacturers and retailers of wool and allied fibers in its member countries. Organizations related to wool products and wool business can also become its members. IWTO provides a worldwide platform for business contacts in the sectors of apparel, technical textiles and interior textiles.
