The National Textile Center (NTC)

Profile: The National Textile Center (NTC) is a research consortium of eight universities viz. Auburn University, Clemson University, Cornell University, Georgia Institute of Technology, North Carolina State University, UC - Davis, UMass - Dartmouth, and Philadelphia University. It works for enhancing the knowledge base of USA fiber, textile/fiber products, retail industry. For attaining its goals, the Center conducts research, provides training, gives links to other institutions and conducts projects in collaboration with experts and resources of textile industry.

The Southern Textile Association Inc.

Profile: The Southern Textile Association Inc. serves individuals in the textile and related industries in Southern USA. It has three geographic divisions - the North Carolina/Virginia Division, the Piedmont Division and the South Carolina Division. The association's purpose is to promote good fellowship among its members, to exchange professional knowledge and experience on textile related subjects, to promote other social, educational, personnel relations, research, and other scientific activities for the benefit of the members, their companies , and the textile industry. It also presents two awards- The Chapman Award to recognize individuals for exemplary and outstanding service and leadership to the textile industry and the David Clark Award to honor past presidents of the association who continue to contribute distinguished leadership and service to the association and through it to the textile industry.
